The Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists is going to launch its magazine. We seek volunteers for the magazine’s editorial team. Magazine will be published quarterly. The magazine will address current issues related to food science and nutrition, including research, education, food engineering, food packaging, nutraceuticals, regulatory issues etc. The magazine will provide a platform for students, researchers, food and nutrition professionals to share their research, expertise, problems, and experiences for the betterment of the community. We are currently inviting applications for Associate Editors for different sections
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities for the position include:
- Processing columns/review/research/news/blogs/viewpoints etc: this includes an initial assessment of their suitability for the magazine, the identification and invitation of appropriate reviewers, the careful consideration of reviewers’ report, and the communication of decisions to authors in a timely and constructive manner.
- Working with the editorial team and executive committee to maintain and enhance the quality, reputation, and national reach of the magazine.
- Promoting work in the magazine through social media channels.
Criteria
We seek interested volunteers with a broad knowledge of the fields of food and/or nutrition who can work promptly and collaboratively with other members of the editorial team. Candidates should also be open to working with a diverse mix of emerging and established scholars of Pakistan.
