Welcome to Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists

The Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists (PSFST) is the professional body of Food Scientists and Technologists in Pakistan. It is affiliated with the Institute of Food Technologists, USA. The Head Office of this Society is located in the National institute of Food Science and Technology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
 

Society Objectives

  • Promote the cause of Food Science & Technology and Nutrition
  • Improve the professional competence of Food Scientists and Technologists
  • Provide professional communications through technical publications, scientific meetings, seminars, symposia, lectures, workshops, etc.
  • Encourage education and training at all levels in various fields of Food Science & Technology
     

Society Activities

The Society is working to create strong linkages between the private sector (food and allied industries) and the public sector (Universities and research Institutions). It regularly holds Annual Food Science Conference. Student Chapters of the Society actively participate in organizing various extracurricular activates.
 

Society Journal 

The Society publishes Pakistan Journal of Food Sciences on quarterly basis. Prof. Dr. Nuzhat Huma is Editor-in-Chief. The manuscripts prepared according to journal format can be submitted online.
